The book Het kan ook andersom is a special collaboration between Tiny Fisscher and me, and the sequel to the bestseller dit., my debut as an illustrator. Where dit. was produced entirely in black and white, for Het kan ook andersom we chose a completely different approach: the use of three vivid PMS (spot) colours.
These PMS colours not only create an intensity and brightness that standard four-colour printing cannot match, but also open up exciting possibilities. By overprinting the colours, surprising new shades emerge that reinforce the book’s visual power.
The unique colour combinations are a perfect match for Tiny Fisscher’s fresh, inspiring stories and make Het kan ook andersom a visual feast. This innovative approach underlines the book’s theme: daring to think differently and looking at the world from another perspective.
With this book, Tiny and I have taken our collaboration to the next level. It is an honour to once again be part of a project that pushes boundaries and surprises – both in content and visually.
